AWS for WooCommerce product search?

  • Hello, I am wondering if this plugin might work for a product search in WooCommerce, too?

    Is there an option to choose “products” as type?

    And what I do not really understand – how do I then implement the search form into my page? Is there a shortcode or a widget? – Or is the plugin replacing the existing one? (which would be fine!)

    Hi Sandra, WooCommerce is pretty complex.. typically you should index “products” content type via the cloudsearch plugin, selections “products” type from the plugin configs page.

    About the search form, the plugin automatically replace the existing one. But is designed for working well with posts.. with other types you have to test it, otherwise you can extend search stuff by yourself writing a snippet of code and calling plugin API..

    Oh, thank you so much Andrea, for the quick reply. I just watched the screenshots and did not find an option there to choose “products”.

    So, it seems worth a try, I guess. ??

    In your WordPress admin you have to go to CloudSearch -> Settings and then you should find a list of content types with a checkbox beside for enable the indexing of each of those.

    Do you see this? Maybe send me a screenshot of what you see ??

    Uuuh , I have not yet installed it – I just watched the description and the screenshots there. And then the question came up.
