AWS EC2 WordPress Namecheap Domain

Hey,

So I recently tried out AWS and I am currently using an EC2 instance. After a bit of tinkering I wanted to give it a different domain name. I had bought a domain previously on Namecheap so I tried connecting the two. At the moment I created the instance along with the elastic ip, I then went to my Namecheap domain and modified the @ to link to the IP while the www I linked to the given amazon domain. The redirecting seems to work although it takes some time. The slowness is not the only problem; it also comes out plain and the content is still linking to the amazon domain although it can’t be reached. Is it just taking time to set up or is the WordPress content causing a problem? I had also been using a WordPress.com hosted website that had previously been linked to the sneakerchamploo.com domain name. Could that also be adding to the set up time?
