Like many other people, I have been having troubles with this plugin. I have set up an associates account with Amazon and even called them to confirm that everything is alright with the account. When I try to search for an item that I would like to display in a post, I get this error:
“Your AWS Access Key Id is not registered as an Amazon Associate. Please verify that you are registered as an Amazon Associate in respective locale and you added the email address registered for the Product Advertising API as a secondary email address in your Amazon Associates account.”
I did try adding my e-mail as a secondary but it would not allow that as it’s a primary e-mail. I have tried with new access keys.
I have tried sorting this out by reading other posts in the forum and I’m sure that it is an easy fix, I am just unable to find it. Any help is appreciated.

Please try out the following & share the results with us:
- Using your access key & secret key credentials, please check if you can get results from ItemSearchAPI on Product Advertising API scratch pad. (Don’t forget to set the marketplace at the top to the one you are registered as an associate.).
- If above gives an error message, follow the troubleshooting procedure link in the error message shown on PAAPI scratch-pad.
If above doesn’t help, fell free to reopen the issue & share the error message shown on scratchpad with us.
