  • Many thanks for this.

I also found similar posts but none is clear enough on how to exclude those pages. At least for my understanding…

The relevant setting for excluding pages states the following:

Add here strings (not a filename) that forces a page not to be cached. For example, if your URLs include year and you dont want to cache last year posts, it’s enough to specify the year, i.e. ’/2004/’. WP-Cache will search if that string is part of the URI and if so, it will not cache that page.

What do you think should I enter here, for excluding for instance the “Place Ad” page? The page’s slug, full path, or else?

I’m not really sure since I’m not a WP Super Cache guy myself. I’d try the full path first (that’s unambiguous) and then if it’s not working, try something relative.

Failing either of those, you may need to contact their support as I wouldn’t know the internals as well as they do. ??

Thanks, I’ve already contacted them but no reply so far and all replies I found there only make the topic more obscure.

I’m happy you also don’t understand their settings explanations because that means that I’m not the only one…

    Thanks again!

John will give you a tip. Use W3 Total Cache. Plugin very difficult to understand, but EXCELLENT! I can help you here and tell you how to do on awpcp.
I was using WP Super Cache, but I gave up because it does not have enough settings.
In this time (one year) I can not know if it’s improved, but w3 total cache is the best!

Hello Dave. All very strange. Many days no problem with the cache. Now it works fine, but sharing automatic Facebook no longer works!
    I have to click manual.
I even waited an hour, but no longer works.

I am sure that my problem is related to cache sharing Facebook.
This situation now co Awpcp 3.6.4.1 but also first with AWPCP 3.6.4
    Previously I had no problems.
It is not very serious: I have no problem doing click to share on Facebook. I think it is fair to say this thing.
    Thank you !

I ask very sorry. Automatic sharing on Facebook it works now. I ask you this: after how much time awpcp share on Facebook?
My last announcement was shared after 59 minutes. The time is variable?

Thanks Cristian, will check W3 out.

When you have installed write here and I screenshoot you to let you see where to insert url awpcp.
It is not easy to use, but there are many tutorials. You will find yourself very well.

    Hi Cristian,

Facebook posting happens using a cron job (timer) from WordPress.

However, unless you’re getting traffic every minute, that cron job won’t fire until a user visits your site after the timer expires. That means it may seem to happen a bit irregularly, but it will happen. That’s the behavior of WP timer jobs (cron), something out of our control.

Now everything is clear. Did I get it right. I wp-cron disabled. Using Cron Job on the server. Thank you !
