Awful – Always slow

  • This plugin is ridiculously slow and unresponsive. So bad it’s completely unusable and I have to force quit my browser every time I use it!

    thanks for your review, and sorry for the trouble.

    Can you maybe provide some more information on this? Where exactly is the plugin slow? I assume that you are referring to the “Edit” screen of a table? If so, how big is that table (rows/columns)? Very large tables can indeed cause such issues, as most browsers have trouble managing a large number of text fields efficiently. You could then maybe try a different browser (the current iE versions (surprisingly) work best, as far as I have heard).
    Or are you experiencing the slowness somewhere else? I’ll happily try to help here, so that you can maybe give TablePress a second chance!

    Mate like everywhere. The worst when I click “Edit.” My table is only like 10 rows wide and 30 rows down. Lags in Chrome and in Safari regardless.

    Hi,

    thanks for the details. That sounds strange and I can’t think of a reason for that. If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please create a temporary admin account for me and send me the details via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!
