lame plugin update by another dev

  • how is this a successor to the original Instant Gallery by John Sexton ?!? my wordpress had automatic updates for plugin turned on, and I ended up with a totally different plugin.

    I quickly deleted it and reverted back to the one from John.

    Sorry to hear that WordPress replaced your existing plug-in with this one. I am in no way affiliated with the other plug-in and did not know about its existence. WordPress allowed this name so I did not think there was another plug-in. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and i will rename the plug-in.

    I would say however that rating the plug-in as a one star because of a mistake made by WordPress when looking at my plug-in is a little disappointing. I would hope that you ask about things before rating an innocent plug-in as 1 star.
