  • I tried for certain movies from old to new and I gotta say that this plugin is a huge help for my movie review site!
    I hope you’ll continue to update this new and wonderful plugin.

    I have been trying to find something like this! Most of plugins like yours is a paid one and the free ones are no longer being updated.

    Is there a way we can use genre as subcategories? I hope we can use this on normal posts as I am planning to include movie trailers on a regular post, All i need is the movies details using this plugin.

    Hi Autumntactix, thanks for using this plugin!

    At the moment genres are not hierarchical, only collections are; think of genres/actors as Tags, and collections as Categories. They cannot be used on standard posts, tough it could be a nice improvement, I’ll think about it. Anyway, it is planned to have more flexible taxonomies by version 1.0.1.

    As for the movies details/metadata, they’re yet available to use on standard posts either, but that’s planned too: one of the first thing on a schedule now is to build a set of shortcodes to extend the plugin. See more here: https://github.com/Askelon/wpmovielibrary/issues/51
