Away mode does not kick me out when the away time comes

  • Hello,
    I am contacting you about the functionality for Away mode.
    In previous versions, it used to log me out and disallow access to the admin.
    Currently, the behaviour on my site is that if I log out, I cannot log-in if the away hours are in force, however, if I am logged-in – I can freely access everything despite the away mode.

    Is this a bug or a change in the functionality?

    Probably a bug due to a recent code optimalization in the Away Mode feature.
    According to the 5.4.0 Changelog:

    Enhancement: Improved code efficiency of the Away Mode feature so that it takes less processing time when active.
