Award points to users who refer new member signups – no points awarded

I’m trying to set up awarding points to users who refer friends.
They send email with link like : https://www.my_url.com/profile/register?&mref=66 …But when new user registers with this link points are not awarded…
MyCred settings under hooks for referrals are:
Enable: On
Referring Visitors: 1
Log template – Limit: 0
Referring Signups: 10
Log template -limit: 0
Referral links: numeric referral IDs
IP Limit: 0New user gets points for registering but referring user doesn’t…
Did I miss something?
