"Aw Snap!" error when pasting into Text Editor in Chrome (revisited)

  • Every time I posted into Chrome more than a few words it would crash. It was on a post in Text view (not Visual). After disabling all my extensions and clearing cache, I was able to narrow down the issue. I have a extension in Chrome called Disconnect, which disables sites from tracking my history. Once I turned that off, I could copy/paste just fine. I’ve seen other posts about this issue, but no exact fix. Hopefully this helps.

    Actually that helped a bit, yet now it only crashes occasionally. I’m just going to switch to Firefox in the meantime. It worked fine in previous version.

    -Chrome Version 48.0.2564.116 m
    -WordPress 4.4.2
