    This plugin is AWESOME!

    However, when migrating from my local install (WAMP) to the production server (linux), I always have to tweak and adjust settings.

    For example the common problems are:
    – some permalinks not working as expected
    – plugins conflicts.

    As for permalinks it seems that changing back and forth the format will fix, while for the plugins each time is different: sometimes the migrated install will start throwing weird (PHP) errors. For example today I had to disable all plugins (via FTP) and one by one reactive them (moved to a temporary folder and adding them back one by one.

    I wonder if I am doing something wrong

    Any suggestion?

    I have tested uploading the site with all plugins disabled and reactivating them a bit at time seems helping. I believe that some plugins are fooled when running with an “image” somehow to the backup site. Possible? The permalink issue remains

    Hey Blutarksky,

    Right now the free version doesn’t auto save your permalinks when your done with the installer. You will have to click the save permalinks button on the last step of the installer and then save the permalinks from within the wp-admin. Checkout this question on the FAQs page it has a list of things you can try if your running into plugin conflicts:

    -> Browse to: https://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-faq
    -> Find question: “Why are some of my plugins/images/links not updating?”

    Let me know if this helps!

    Thanks~
