Unfortunately it is impossible to continue using Jetpack stats without providing a credit card.

After choosing Assign Payment Method Later, ticking all the boxes to indicate that the site is a non-commercial hobby site, I just get shunted around a continuous loop, that always gets back to asking for my credit card.

Guess it is time to look for alternatives.

It definitely sounds like something’s not working quite right with the checkout flow. You should be able to choose Assign Payment Method Later and finish the checkout process without needing to add credit card information.

I tried to reproduce this issue on a test site but I wasn’t able to. If you’d like, we could keep helping you troubleshoot. Could you contact us via this contact form and mention this thread if you’d like us to take a closer look?
