With Query Monitor plugin activated, the admin bar reports unprotected emails because it founds these in QM logs somehow while the emails within the actual content are properly protected (checked in source HTML).

Mhh, would you mind sending me a link to the page you’re having troubles with?

If not, double check with the page scanner: https://encoder.till.im/scanner

I am also getting an indication that there is an unprotected email, but a check of the pages shows no problems. The bigger issue for me is that with the plugin activated, editing with WPBakery’s Frontend Editor stalls out for a very long time before it finally allows me to edit it. When I deactivate the plugin, I am able to edit normally. I will probably try to revert to the previous version until a fix is in place.

@lorigregor: Would you mind sharing the link to your site, so I can have a look into improving the stalling with your setup?

Also, you can turn off the “Notices” inside the Settings, that will remove the check, so you don’t have to wait that long.

    Hello Till,

I did revert back to the version I was using before yesterday… 1.0.14. Our website is https://warrington.ufl.edu

I know that 1.0.16 is when the issue occurred, but I am not sure if 1.0.15 would have caused any trouble.

    Thanks. Any page in particular?

You can use 1.0.16, just check the “notices” checkbox in the settings to turn off the email detector script.

All that I worked with today reported an unprotected email address and were very slow to get to the Frontend Editor. All issues resolved upon reverting to the older version.

Hey @lorigregor: Would you mind testing this version and see if you’re still experiencing the lag when opening a page?

    Hello Till,

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to get to this earlier today. I tried to download the file but it isn’t letting me now.

Transfer.sh seems a bit slow today.

    Hi Till,

That link worked much better. It seems to be fine for my Frontend Editor now. However, it does still have a notification in the toolbar that there is “1 Unprotected Email”. The report I got today via email stated that I had several on our directory page, but I think they are fine. The directory is dynamically created so we had to use the alternate method to encode them.

    Have a great weekend!

@lorigregor: Fantastic. I’ll release an update shortly.

To turn off the “1 Unprotected Email” in the adminbar, just check the “Hide notices and promotions for all users” in the plugin settings.

@emmek: The next release will also contain a fix for false detection of emails in the Query Monitor and Debug Bar.

    Till,

Thank you for your responsiveness and the effort you put in to fix the issues.

I tried to unsubscribe from the email reports, but I get “Invalid link
Sorry, this subscription doesn’t seem to exist.”

What’s your email address and the checked domain?
