avoid pop-up – get password protected Download with just one click

  • Hello,

    is there a way to avoid pop-up?

    by default pop-up is blocked by browsers (Firefox, Chrome, etc.)

    so when I add password protected download, user has to type in password and click Download at least two times in order to get the file

    how to avoid pop-up, and get password protected Download with just one click?

    I am using WordPress Version 4.9.8 and Download Manager Version 2.9.82

    Hi,
    Download button appears when password validation success. So, if browser blocks the popup, a user can click on download link to download the file. We didn’t keep it in the same window at first try, because, for some user browser or wpdm setting are set to open the file in the browser instead of download, and most users want to open the new file in another window.
