• Hi Thomas,

    Great plugin !

Just a thing, I observe that the users of my website sometime duplicate their posts, by clicking twice (or more) on the [post]/[validate] button.

They do that because of the lag between the click and the page refreshment (with their new message displayed).
The consequence is that the new message is displayed twice (maybe it could be even more but I did not have the case), and the URL add ‘-2’ at the end (like for any duplicate post in WP).

You guess my question : How to avoid that behaviour ? Manual suppression by an Admin takes time for each duplicate entry…

Is their a way to put a timer, or to disable the [post]/[validate] button after having clicked on it ? Or any other trick ?

    That would be really helpful.

This message is valid for the new post, and also for the new response/reply.

I know that getting better host server ressources is also an improvement path, but I would like first consider a “software” solution.

    Thank you !
    Regards,
    Law

    Hello @laucoste

The forum should already avoid this by disabling the submit-button after the first click. But this only works if your users didnt disable javascript.

    Hello,

Thanks for your reply. May the plugin Autoptimize be in cause ?

It optimizes Javascript files. There is an exception field where I can declare JS files/scripts to ignore. Do you think that there is something to do here ?

    Regards,
    Law
