  • Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro. The way to do this is to set up two levels. The user signs up for level 1. Then, when approved, they can be upgraded to level 2.

There is a issue if you have reoccurring levels because when the level is changed it will cancel any active subscription at the gateway for the user.

Paid Memberships Pro does have other workarounds available as part of the “Do It For Me” option. You can find out more at:

    Thanks again.

    Hi Great H-Master,

    Thank you for your response.
It is kinda inconvenient that a member has to sign up as Free-Member and then needs to upgrade to ‘Gold-Level’….
Anyways I will make a plan.

I just tried to do it your way and the member will be automatically approved…

    Membership Confirmation
Thank you for your membership to XYZ. Your Gold Member membership is now active.

Below are details about your membership account and a receipt for your initial membership invoice. A welcome email with a copy of your initial membership invoice has been sent to ####.

I assume this plugin is not the right plugin for my needs…and thanks for the offer but I am already registered and ‘do it myself’ ??

EDIT: I created a free account first.

    Regards

    Mad

    Hey there,

Sorry to hear you’re having so much trouble. Did you “approve” the user for the “Gold Level” by editing their Membership Level on the Edit User page in the WordPress dashboard?

    Thanks,
    Jess

    Hi Jessica,

It doesn’t matter if the Member first registers as ‘Freemember’ and then upgrades to ‘Gold’ or he goes straight the way to sign up as ‘Gold Member’…PMPro always Auto-Approves all membership levels.

How ever, as mentioned in another post, I’m not working any longer with WP+BP+PMPro….I switched back to Joomla which gives me the control of moving, adding and removing User-Levels without such a big headache.

Don’t take it personal, but but my client is in a hurry and I don’t want to pay for Support and Service.

    I have closed the topic.

    Thank you.
