    Contest Gallery Version 15.0.3-PRO

I’m using 5 stars rating for my photo contest. In this version (15.0.3-PRO) of the plugin, it’s no longer possible to have the average result for each photo. Total number of votes is useless when pictures do not have the same number of voters. Furthermore, the number of voters is no longer provided. In order to get the average result for each photo, I have to manually add the number of voters and then, do the calculation to get the average result. This was available in the previous version. Please consider having this back.

“Total number of votes is useless when pictures do not have the same number of voters.”
<<< I don’t see it that way. At the end sum of points is the most important and it is visible. So two times 5 points is better then three times 3 points. And it also visible in the overview by hovering or clicking on it for voting.
I will think about display somehow the total number of votes in the current overview. In the moment it has clean look in my opinion. I will make some thoughts.

Thanks Wasiliy for the quick reply. I understand your point but I still believe it’s somehow unfair. If I continue with your example four times 3 stars would end up scoring better then 2 times 5 stars. It becomes even more obvious when you have larger number of voters. For example, this week I ended up with 2 pictures tied at 110, but one had 27 voters while the other one had 28 voters. It’s 4.07 vs 3.93. I’ve implemented CG with 5 stars rating for this very reason. All the numbers are available to calculate the average and I wish I didn’t have to do it manually.

Thanks for your time. I think CG is a great plugin and it really helped me when we had to move our photography club to virtual meetings because of the Covid.

Thanks for that example. It is a very good explainable case of possible issue. Maybe I can implement average stars sorting in backend back without big effort. And maybe there is a possible way to show it in frontend without overloading with information.

Thanks Wasiliy, this is very good news. Getting the info available in the backend is what is more important to me. Diplaying in frontend would be a bonus.

Thanks again for your time and effort. It’s really appreciated.
