• Hi all, great software, I now in the middle of converting my hard coded web site via MS Expression Web to WordPress, thanks!

Stupid Newbie question, I have looked every where but I can’t find where to turn on upload your Avatar function for members, even though I already have one user who has managed to upload his!

Is there one and what am I doing wrong, or am I forced to use Gravatars for which I assume I need a Plugin. I’m sure Gravatars is great but I’d rather not force my mostly non technical members to go to another website to create a user id just to upload an avatar.

I’ve searched but couldn’t find, please redirect me if already answered.

OK, thanks, no wonder I couldn’t find Avatars, so I’m sunk, have to use 3rd party site. I have no idea how that one user got his Avatar onto my site.

Is there a Plugin I need to install?

The user was probably registered on Gravatar so wherever they post on a Gravatar enabled blog (e.g yours) their avatar will appear!

You could create your own upload function and display that avatar etc.. though if you wanted to I guess

OK, thanks, so is there a Gravatar Plugin I need to install?

And if not then how do my Users know that they have to go and set up an account at Gravatar.com to set up an Avatar?

Sorry for dumb questions, and thanks for your patience!
