Avatar User Name Not Working For Me
-
I just downloaded your latest (corrected) version 1.1.1 and the plugin is working, but I can’t seem to get the “shortcode” to work for me to show my signed in user’s name.
Can you tell me what I could be doing wrong. I tried it on a “Custom Link” menu item as well as a “Page” menu item. I made them both to restrict to only “Logged In Users” and then for the Navigation Label field, I entered without quotes: “Welcome, {first_name}”. Instead, even after clearing my websites CDN cache, clearing my browser cache (in 2 separate browsers), I am only seeing “Welcome, {first_name}” (literally with the brackets) in my menu. It’s as if the shortcode isn’t being recognized.
It must be something on my end, since others are reporting that this new feature is working. Can you think of what could cause this to not work?
I know my theme parses menu shortcode like this because before today, I was using lines of php code in my functions.php file to do this very thing, and my navigation label was something like “Welcome, [profile name]” and it was working just fine.
Thanks for any help!
