Avatar Uploading Error after Cropping

Hello,
I am working on my new site Pr-e.com and trying to start it with buddypress but facing many issues while doing that
First is the problem with Avatar upload – avatars are uploading in the system but when a user try to crop the image and move forward it just shows a error and user fail to upload avatar
“There was a problem cropping your avatar.”

Second : I don’t know it is because of the traffic or what but in every 2-3 days the site get down showing
“Error in establishing a Database connection” and i have to restart mysql through
“mysqld_safe &” i think i am missing with some VPS configuration if you guys can please help see this error_log file i have
error logs – These were the latest
