When people apply for membership, I want to require them to upload a headshot/avatar, as it’s essential for the Directory. However, even though it’s on the Membership Checkout page as [pmpro_checkout][basic-user-avatars], [pmpro_checkout][basic-user-avatars] does not appear to non members. And my only choice seems to be to marks this checkbox on Settings – Discussion: ?Only allow users with file upload capabilities to upload local avatars (Authors and above).

Can I make this happen somehow?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @registryoffiguremodelsandartists

Thank you for using Basic User Avatars.

Unfortunately not, the user needs to be logged-in in order to upload their avatar and cannot be done before user creation.

The workaround could be to include this in the confirmation page, and their edit user profile page and nudge the members to update their avatar before continuing.

I hope this helps clear things up.
