Avatar pic doesn’t show

Thanks for reporting this problem. I created a bug report on https://github.com/Automattic/Co-Authors-Plus/issues/758. I cannot say when this problem will be resolved, but I’ll look into this the next days.

Hello @vissakainen, I just noticed that the avatar is visible as expected and that only the Gravatar, thus, the image that might be connected to an email address, is not visible.

Have you been referring to the avatar, that can be uploaded on the guest authors page, or to the Gravatar, that need to be connected to an email address via https://en.gravatar.com/?

Hello @vissakainen, I haven’t heard back from you, but given the fact that the avatar was working as expected and only the Gravatar was not visible for guest authors, I fixed that problem in https://github.com/Automattic/Co-Authors-Plus/issues/758. This fix should be part of the next release.

Hi @nielslange, thanks for the reply and sorry for the slowness on my part.

We use Gravatar on our own accounts, works. For the guest authors we need to use avatar by uploading Avatar through plugin. Those aren’t visible. We kinda can’t ask authors to use Gravatar (just for pic).

I can dm/email you example link if that helps? Hope it’s not our theme or something which blocks the avatar set on the plug in ??

Don’t worry about your delayed reply. As for the problem that you mentioned, can you tell me where exactly you expect the avatars to appear? Are you referring to the backend (guest authors page, post editor and/or page editor) or to the frontend? It might be helpful if you could create a screenshot of the section you’re referring to, so that we’re on the same picture.

Thanks for your screenshots. While I see what problem you’re facing, I’m unable to reproduce this problem on my end. I see that the avatar is visible when using the following themes:

– Twenty Ten
– Twenty Twelve
– Twenty Thirteen
– Twenty Thirteen

All other Twenty themes do not display avatars by default. Can you tell me what theme you are currently using?

Well that’s good. We have totally custom theme so that’ll be the reason then. I’ll have to contact our developer.
