I am not sure if this is an issue with the plugin or something I have changed on my site. When I click the change avatar link in buddy menu I go to a page not found error. Looking at the actual change avatar link it looks like the buddy menu one is not correct.

    buddy menu =/members/username/avatar/
    buddy press =/members/username/profile/change-avatar/

    Any ideas?

  • hey there scott i just wanted to know if you found a resolution to this problem? I love this plugin, but unable to get three of the links to function
    1. Login/Logout
    2. Change Avatar
    3. Compose

I wish there was a way to make a custom link that would go directly to the page.
    example: https://your site.com/members/[username]/profile/change-avatar
When I try to change my avatar, it gives a “page not found” response. How can I direct the Change Avatar link to redirect correctly?
    Thanks for your time Community!

I did not find a resolution to this. Now that it has come back up and I am thinking about it, I am going to hit this hard and see if I can fix it up. I will let you know my results.

Looks like the plugin has updated since I last looked. There some more options but it looks like also still some broken links, at least on my install.

Here is the workaround I found. This is using the widget.

    Menu Item: custom_url
    Custom Menu URL: https://yoursite.com/wp-login.php?action=logout
    Page Title: Logout
    Shot to visitors: logged-in

    Menu Item: custom_url
    Custom Menu URL: https://yoursite.com/wp-login.php?action=login
    Page Title: Login
    Shot to visitors: logged-out

    Menu Item: custom_slug
    Custom Menu Slug: profile/change-avatar
    Page Title: Change Avatar
    Shot to visitors: logged-in

    Menu Item: custom_slug
    Custom Menu Slug: messages/compose
    Page Title: Compose Message
    Shot to visitors: logged-in

    Does that help?

I’m very sorry for the delay updating the plugin. Have corrected the login/logout URLs.

    Thanks for being patient.

Any update on getting the Change Avatar link to work?

I’m on version 2.2.0 and it still doesn’t work.

yep, very useful, thank you ?? we can use custom menu slug in order to fix avatar issue in fact…

NB: shortcode seems generate the right way, only widget’s link is wrong
