Avatar and Banner stuck on processing

    Hey,
    I’ve been having issues with UM after using it for 4 years. Recently I had a permission issue where no one was able to upload a profile pic, well that’s fixed now.

    Nonetheless I now have the issue, that when setting an avatar and banner, the button is stuck at “Processing” and nothing happens. See https://i.imgur.com/NRzXPEV.png

    It worked once, and after that it stopped, and I can’t find a fix for it.

    FYI: It works on my other websites on the same server, just not on my most important one.

    Anyone able to help?

    Do you have the same setup with Themes and active Plugins on both sites?
    Any different version numbers among your Plugins on the two sites?

    If any difference deactivate those Plugins on your problem site.

    Cached and optimized/minified assets(JS/CSS) must be flushed/re-generated after upgrade to UM 2.5.0

    Did you run the Upgrade job after the UM 2.5.0 upgrade?

    Look at the Browser web console if you have any javascript errors.

    Turn on PHP Debug logging and look at the error log file for Warnings/Errors.

    Post your UM Settings -> Install Info here in the Forum.

    I’ve figured to put my website into maintenance mode again and work my way through my plugins.

    Apparently the plugin “WP Extra File Types” causes this issue. Once it’s enabled, it’s stuck on processing. Once disabled, it’s OK.

    Weird, cause I’ve been using this plugin and UM forever.

    Ok so for whatever reason really but I had to add all file types I’d allow on my website into WP Extra File Types and now it works fine.

    Guess that can be closed now.
