• Hey. I am having a problem with the Allow Backorders. When I have this checked on the backend even if the product is in stock it says Available on backorder. I really don’t want it to say that. Unless it is out of stock. How can I fix this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Sorry you are having trouble. There was an issue with the released version that is fixed in the development version but I have not had an opportunity to do complete testing in order to release a new version yet.

I can test it if you would like.

Hey. So I downloaded the WooCommerce Cart Stock Reducer from the link you gave me. But it does not seem to be working either. I have products that were in stock before I downloaded the plugin but now they are out of stock. Some of them even say -6.

Another new thing is the Quantity in Carts. Not sure what this is or that I need it.

The other weird thing is that when I am in the product under inventory I change the Stock quantity to 10 then I save it and go back to where all the products are listed then click Quick Edit the Stock qty under that is different then what I put in the Stock quantity under the main product Inventory section. It’s very weird.

It also looks like it still says In stock (can be backordered) even when it’s in stock.

The “Quantity in carts” on the backend shows how many of the items are actually in existing carts/sessions.

If it is showing something other than 0, then there are existing carts that have those products in them.

Can I undo this? I’m not sure how this works because I added this to my stage site so there should not be any items in the cart being that no one can access this website.

Sure, from the admin interface: WooCommerce->Status->Tools (tab)->Clear customer sessions (button)

WooCommerce is supposed to clean up old sessions (default is 48H) via the WordPress cron but often (especially on staging/dev sites) the cron doesn’t work properly

Now, will I have this problem on the live site?

    Plugin Author James Golovich

    (@jamesgol)

When you enable this plugin on a live site you should either clear the carts/sessions manually or just assume that there will be a period (up to the default 48h) when the total displayed could not be accurate.

Any word on the In stock (can be backordered)

And the weird thing when I am in the product under inventory I change the Stock quantity to 10 then I save it and go back to where all the products are listed then click Quick Edit the Stock qty under that is different then what I put in the Stock quantity under the main product Inventory section. It’s very weird.

The backorder issue should be resolved in the development version, also on the development version the backend quantity should always show the actual quantity. On older versions the backend would show the “virtual” quantity in some places.

If you are still experiencing a problem with the dev version and backorders, please take some screenshots of the items config, the stock settings in WooCommerce, and the plugin config and I will try to reproduce the issue locally.

I downloaded the version you sent me. How can I attach a screenshot of both?

The Clear Customer Sessions seemed to maybe fix the inventories not matching.
