Avada Theme: Fusion Menu
-
Theme: Avada
Menu: Fusion Mega MenuWe had our WordPress theme created by a Web host company. We have been in communication with them with this issue related to the use of our Fusion Mega Menu. The company has looked into the issue and cannot see why we are experiencing issues with how the menu does not expand the way it is supposed to. The Web host believes it has to do something with the memory. We contacted our Web host and they did modify the memory allocation. Since we are on a share server for our Web host, we cannot modify the php.ini file. We cannot modify our htaccess file because our Server API is: CGI/FastCGI.
I have tried multiple steps in trying to nail down why this is happening. I cannot figure it out. We used Drupal before so WordPress is something totally different and I am just learning day-by-day.
This is what happens.
We have four parent links that are supposed to have the Fusion Mega Menu and Full Width Mega Menu enabled. Three of them work! However, it is that four link that will not accept these values.
Here are the steps:
1. Click Avada Menu Options
2. Fusion Mega Menu – Switch On
3. Full Width Mega Menu – Switch On
4. Click Save
5. Click Save Menu –>switches back to Off for both optionsthen we try:
1. Click Avada Menu Options
2. Fusion Mega Menu – Switch On
3. Click Save
4. Full Width Mega Menu – Switch On
5. Click Save
6. Click Save Menu –>switches back to Off for both optionsthen we try:
1. Click Avada Menu Options
2. Fusion Mega Menu – Switch On
3. Click Save
4. Click Save Menu
5. (sets Fusion Mega Menu back to Off).
6. Fusion Mega Menu – Switch On
7. Full Width Mega Menu – Switch On
8. Click Save
9. Click Save Menu –>switches back to Off for both options (wanted to try again).I do not understand this.
So I move the fourth parent link (the one that does not work) to the front spot. I change the values to On and it works! However, now the third (now fourth) parent link no longer expands to full width view. The values change to Off. I do not understand this at all. My mind is blown. I tried a lot of things and while I am new to WordPress- I feel like I should be able to figure this out, but it is very bothersome that the values are not saving.
Visual: Menu: We have four parent items that expand into sub items then into subitems. The first three items look like this:
Title Title Title
Title Title Title
Title Title TitleThe fourth parent item looks like this:
Title->Title->Title
Title->Title->Title
Title->Title->Title
** -> the (-> means you have to use mouse to expand). You cannot see the whole menu. You use your mouse to expand Title > Title and then Title.Another issue.
We try to add Facebook, YouTube, etc. to our menu, but we cannot save the values for Icon/Thumbnail Only. When we click On, Save and then Save Menu, they default back to Off. These are listed at the end of our menu. When we move them to the front of the menu, the values do keep and stay On.
Thoughts?
Let me know if I need to clarify anything.
Thanks. =]
