    Hello Frank,

    Thank You very much for this amazing plugin. I found a perfect setup combo using Autoptimize for minifying and W3Total Cache as a caching solution.

    However, I have a question regarding the caching. As I read somewhere, Autoptimize implements its own caching, so I was curious is it possible to turn it off in order to totally use W3 Total Cache’s caching functionality? Or maybe it is fine to use both and there would be no compatibility issues?

    Finally, I was curious what does ‘By default files saved are static css/js, uncheck this option if your webserver doesn’t properly handle the compression and expiry’ checkbox does.

    Morning Ron;
    AO caches the JS & CSS, but not the HTML, so I would advice to keep on using W3TC (or a similar page caching solution). If you make sure all minification (CSS, JS, HTML) is OFF in W3TC, there is no risk of compatibility issues.

    regarding having “static css/js” on or off; off only makes sense if you’re not on apache and if you don’t want to bother with configuring your webserver to handle gzip-compression and expiry-settings yourself. in that case your autoptimized JS/CSS will be .php-files and the php-code will take care of compression & expiry.
