    Hey hello, guys.
so i know, generally AO not support Memcached.
but i see you release a lot of updates lately…

    BACKGROUND:
I work with Mesmerize THEME combined with AO and AO GZIP STATIC (CINTAMOD)
    TOGETHER WITH ENGINTRON (Nginx)

Now “Nginx” can go along with the Memcached server even to make it better…
    but AO can damage it.

What you would recommend? i hear in 5.5.1 Memcached is improved
and Nginx supports this as well.

BUT! I DONT WANT LOSE AO! IS ONE OF MY BEST PLUGINS.

    What to do guys?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

because although AO does not use memcached, there is no reason why “AO can damage it”. on my own servers with AO I use redis, which is similar to memcached. no need to worry there ??

but more importantly; how would you want AO to use/ support memcached 123nadav ?

let’s say to activate that from WordPress himself?
    from the wp-config?

Nginx (engintron) will automatically manage that… but i don’t know if i have
Redis on my server. and i don’t know to use Redis (i never use this before).

I remember one time when i activate Memcache like that is cause errors with AO.
i only afraid is will make more damage from good.

don’t see what the problem would be, they both should work fine.

But what would you want Autoptimize to do with memcached? Considering Autoptimize has settings (which are WordPress options and as such will be cached by object caching in WordPress and which automatically will benefit from memcaching) and cached files (which have to be on the filesystem in order to allow the webserver from being able to serve them) I don’t see what Autoptimize could do with memcached?

    is not AO… is Nginx…
nginx know to separate what is better… he can take static from Memcache
in the same time take the better ones from AO…
Nginx is game here not AO…
AO is part of big optimization with Nginx, he doesn’t have anything i try to do with object cache (Memcache).

i want to activate that only because WordPress 5.5 improves the Memcache and nginx recommended using it.

the only thing i want to know if i will really benefit from that or is to be pointless…
    or can damage something.

Yes you can benefit (although you might need a helper plugin to make sure WordPress “knows”.about memcached) and no I don’t see how this would damage something ??

    what did you recommend?
I have engintron with Autoptimize and Mesmerize.
i don’t want something heavy but i don’t want to put garbage on the plugging.

I Tried to install bat cache…
but he didn’t drop in the file: advanced-cache.php

    not come automatically…
Do i need to download that from outsource?
usually, WordPress downloaded the file automatically,
when activating the wp-object cache in the wp-config.

WordPress changed that? is not come by himself anymore?
    (i mean to the advanced-cache.php file )

or you can recommend to me on another plugin do it for me without damage AO and Nginx?

don’t know engintron or Mesmerize, so can’t really comment on those I’m afraid.

I have absolutely no idea I’m afraid 123nadav; this is not in scope of Autoptimize support I’m afraid. Maybe try batcache support?

I fix it is work perfect… a big change in TTFB but not in page speed…
    thank you for your advice.
