Autoptimize Lazyload images + Fancybox

You can use this code snippet to disable background-image lazyloading;

add_filter( 'autoptimize_filter_imgopt_backgroundimages', '__return_false' );

Unfortunately, it didn’t work.

Added the code in functions.php without any results; I’m still experiencing the problem.

I need lazyload on images because it improves Google PageSpeed score, and the client is “obsessed” having a high score.

For other images on the site, I’ve added the css class to exclude them, and it worked. With fancybox I can’t figure it out where is the problem.

Is there any workaround for this problem?

my mistake, the filter was to disable image optimization, not lazy-loading.

can you try adding img-fancybox-hidden to the lazyload exclusion list?
