Autoptimize is dramatically slowing my client’s website

So, I am using Autoptimize for a client’s website, however when I check the speed of the website in gtmetrix, under the avoid chaining critical requests tab there are 24 chains found and 21 link to Autoptimize! https://imgur.com/a/aDQyIKz <—Here you can see a snipped of the gtmetrix test.

Try running the same test with AO disabled (by adding ?ao_noptimize=1 to the URL) and you’ll even see 56 chains;
