First and foremost try to identify what is causing the increased header size by just disabling CSS or JS or HTML or Image optimization (incl. lazyload). Based on that we can see what the next steps need to be ??

The setting creating the widened header was “Also aggregate inline CSS?” in CSS options. Resolved when box unchecked with CSS Options active. This box was “checked” previously with no issues until plugin conflict test and don’t know if “Also aggregate inline CSS?” is a bug.

likely something changed in a theme or plugin update. I would simply keep “also aggregate inline CSS” off. the alternative would be trying to identify which block of inline CSS is causing this and excluding that block from being aggregated.

    hope this helps,
