• First thing, great plugin thank you.

I have just installed wp rocket on my site and since then my gtmetrix page load times have more than tripled. This for the reason of Autoptimize showing up 3 different times as usual but now have horrendous waiting times.

    1) Why does Autoptimize show itself three times on the waterfall to begin with?

    2) Why does adding wp rocket increase waiting times significantly and how do I correct this?

    Thanks in advance.

re (1); I see 2 (https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.tilealive.ca/bHZNB3R9) one is a non-aggregated (because excluded) CSS file, one is the optimized JS-file

re (2); not sure what you’re referring to, you have a 249ms Time to First Byte which is great really ??

    two tips:
    * re-enable “serve as static files”
    * do “inline & defer CSS” (see AO FAQ for more info) instead of “inline all CSS”; that latter makes the HTML way to bulky and the former will also help improve your “first paint” times

Thanks for your efforts to help.

Ttfb over 100 is unacceptable for me.
My ttfb was 75 without wp rocket using AO alone. Using WP rocket was helping google page ranking credentials but using both together is a no go so far.

I don’t use the inline all css option. I use inline and defer with critical css.com paid version. Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

re. TTFB: if you had 75 then you likely had some host/ server level page caching, not sure if WP Rocket is of much use in that case. you could always contact their support, they’re great!

re. “inline all CSS” vs “inline & defer”; that seems to indicate you did not (or do not) have rules created yet, can you check the Autoptimize -> Critical CSS settings page and make a screenshot of the rules there?

I have not done anything manualy as I don’t understand anything other the copy and pasting the critical css from front page only and pasting it into the inline and defer section of the old AO. To my understanding the new version is automated.

I have tried to paste a screen shot here and not working. I have several automated rules.
I ended up taking away AO and have less issues. But really I would have liked to use AO and this is the text of my rules without image:

hard to say now AO is disabled, but you did have an is_front_page rule, so whilst I did see the full CSS inlined that should not have been the case any more.
