Autoptimize creating lots of chaining critical requests

    I have noticed that Autoptimize is creating a lot of chaining critical requests. Is this expected behaviour and how can I remedy this?

    Autoptimize merely minifies the CSS of your theme & plugins roadkill1 and as such you’ll see the exact same level of critical request chaining when AO is not active. What you could try is enabling the “aggregate CSS” option, which will see AO combine all those CSS files in a more limited amount, which should help reduce the critical request chain.
