    Hi there,

As of late, I have some problems with the variable products on my website and also the addons on my website (plugin from Acowebs) in combination with the Autoptimize plugin enabled. When I select a product in the variabele dropdown box I get the message I first need to select a product option. I can’t add a variable product to my cart, probably because Autoptimize slowed down some crucial java script. Because when I refresh the page everything works fine.

I ‘fixed’ the issue by fooling around with the JavaScript options. When enabling the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th option of the javascripts option in Autoptimize all the product variations seems to work fine, and so do the product addons.

But enabling those four options results in a different width of my main image. It’s all tiny and looks really bad.

    Does anyone know a solution?

    Best, EvD

Hey Elke ; when (4) and (5) are not active, what JS errors do you see on the browser console?

Hi Optimizing Matters, thanks for getting back so quikcly. I’m not sure where to look. I am on my website and when I press in F12 in Chrome I get the console. Where do you want me to look?

    Sorry do you mean this:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property ‘disabled’ of null

I have disabled 4 and 5 and it fixed 1 thing:

Now the image on my landing page is as it should be. But the previous error resurfaces on for example this page:
    https://cycloonfilters.nl/product/superflex-r-vacuum-hose-50mm/?lang=en

When I select for example the 7,5 meter hose, then it doesn’t show the price of that selected product variable. Also, the addon plugin from Acowebs isn’t working like it should. Because when I select a product addon from the dropdown box it doesn’t show the picture of the selected addon. For example on this page: https://cycloonfilters.nl/product/cyclone-filter-model-2/?lang=en

OK, can you try adding plugins/mollie-payments-for-woocommerce/ to the comma-separated JS optimization exclusion list?

    (@elkevandrunen)

Fantastic, that did the trick! It took me 3,5 hours messing with all kinds of options in Autoptimize and WP-Optimize, and you fixed it in no time. Thank you so much. ??

I am curious though what caused the error because I have never used that code and it always worked like a charm. What changed?

hard to say Elke; probably something changed with an update (of the mollie-plugin?) which caused the JS to break.

    Thank you so much. ??

you’re welcome, feel free to leave a review of the plugin and support here! ??

    Hi Frank,

I hope you had a great national holiday! ??

Unfortunately, here in The Netherlands another issue has popped its ugly head up when my site is in mobile modus. When I enable Autoptimize the mobile fixed footer of my Storefront theme is barely visible.

The footer bar should be bright blue and should show the icons of my account and the shopping cart, but they are not visible. Also the bar itself it suddenly grey and about 80% reduced in heigth.

When I disable Autoptimize then the fixed footer bar works fine, but then the other issue of not being able to add a variabele product to my cart resurfaces. I don’t quite understand how that is possible, because if I disable the Autoptimze plugin then everything should revert to its default settings. And the variabele products did always work perfect before.

I hope you have any thoughts. ??

    Kind regards, Elke.

OK, is “also aggregate inline CSS” on? can you try with that setting off first and foremost?

    Thread Starter EvD

    (@elkevandrunen)

I disabled aggregate inline CSS (‘alle gelinke CSS-bestanden samenvoegen’, right?) and unfortunately it didn’t do anything.

OK, taking a step back; does this go away when “optimize CSS” is disabled? or “optimize JS” or “optimize HTML” or “optimize Images” (incl. lazyload)?

Thanks for your quick reply! ??

Disabling ‘optimize HTML’ fixes the problem. What should I do if I want to keep HTML being optimized?

I’m using the chaching plugin ‘WP-Optimze’.
