• Hiya,

I’m having problems with the Autoptimize cache – in that if I don’t get back to my website within a couple of days, its flashing red.

This is the first website I’ve used with this problem – did I miss a setting?

hey @steveraven; are you aggregating inline JS? this is, in 99% of the cases, the problem if you have inline JS (from a plugin or your theme) that changes frequently, as it busts the cache. if so; disable “also aggregate inline JS” OR exclude the changing inline JS from optimization.

if not inline JS, it _can_ also be inline CSS … ??

Ok, I’ve disabled inline js, so we’ll see what happens.

It had already got 15 files in the cache since I wrote my first message, so any slow-down would be most welcome!

So delete cache whenever the red light blinks? It said 100% and naturally I thought that was a good thing. Defo would have been awesome to be notified of this throughout the download process as opposed to this link.
gGod plugin though, needs a few improvements before 5 stars but that’s more to do with getting to know different environments

yeah, or avoid exploding caches by disabling “also aggregate inline JS” ??
