    When Autoptimize is enabled and an ajax search is run (as you can see by visiting above site and searching anything – try ‘gold earring’), the header then breaks in that menu drop downs disappear and icons are unable to be clicked. Example, once you’re in the ajax search, you can’t then click the search icon to search again.

    Help!

    First and foremost try to identify what is breaking things by just disabling CSS or JS or HTML or Image optimization (incl. lazyload). Based on that we can see what the next steps need to be ??

    Thanks Frank – have done so and it’s the JS Optimisation that is breaking it. Have added try-catch wrapping and it doesn’t fix. Have it just set to Aggregating JS Files.

    OK, now in JS optimization, can you try adding one of below each line to the comma-separated exclusion field and report back which one makes/ breaks things?

    * wp-content/themes
    * OR wp-content/plugins
    * OR wp-includes/js

    Have you been able to dig deeper @sarahharro or are you happy just keeping JS aggregating off?
