• hi,

Autoptimize and wprocket not working together, when wp rocket is active autoptimize stops to make cache and in the same time to work.
i have no settings in wp-rocket for css, html and js everthing is in autoptimize.

interesting is that Autoptimize CriticalCSS.com works in autoptimize, if the rules are allready made.

ps: i have ask also on wp-rocket support, they say:
“There are no known issues with using Autoptimize and WP Rocket together. We have quite a few customers who like to do that. WP Rocket does not, by default, stop Autoptimize working. ”

    thanks

so we meet again Marius ??

I’m afraid I have to confirm “There are no known issues with using Autoptimize and WP Rocket together” and the “quite a few customers are doing that”, but I did on the other hand see the problem you’re referring to with my own eyes, so although it isn’t known, there clearly is an issue (although it might be very specific, to start with it only happened on posts, right?).

given wpr+ao generally works, I think we can assume something specific (ao+wpr+x) is going on here, so the challenge is; what is x. ideally you have a non-prod environment where we can experiment, starting with wpr + ao + no other plugins + default wordpress theme and changing settings (installing/ activating plugins one by one + switching themes) until we find x.

not a simple task, but interesting. once we find what x is, I’m sure we (AO or WPR or even X) will be able to fix or workaround this!

i made tests with autoptimze and criticalcss.com for me was a huge improvement using autoptimze with critical css. so i have to quit wp-rocket.
    thanks anyway.

a pity we won’t be able to find X, but nice to read about the huge improvement ??

I wanted to try a cache plugin who are working with wpengine and cloudflare, and see if actually improve. but maybe will not ??

well, wpengine has it’s own caching layer (varnish based), so unless you’re doing funky things (cookies/ HTTP POST’s/ …) you would/ should not need additional caching?

not satisfied at all with wpengine, and how they “optimize” wordpress but anyway…(at least not for this money)

maybe i will try siteground (I heard good things about them…), but you know how it’s, in reality, the results depend on many factors.

the results depend on many factors

    that they do!

Maby I should open another thread, but this is the first I found that looks like it could be some of the same problems I am having now with your plugin. I completed my own cache system this morning, and I gotta say manually merging theese CSS files does give a better result but this plugin does almost the same without any effort so I like this plugin. When I think about it – I will create a new thread instead as it doesnt concert wprocket – even if it may be the sanme problem.

    I posted here
