    Hey guys!

    I’m running Autoptimize and things are REALLY great (this plugin is amazing).

    But I’m having 2 problems:
    If in CSS tab I choose “Inline all CSS”, I get 100% in almost everything in GTMetrix, except Minify HTML and Javascript (99%). And in PageSpeed Insights it shows a warning about above-the-fold content.

    But if I select Inline and Defer CSS without pasting anything in the box, in GTMetrix I get almost 100% in everything but this time Minify HTML, Javascript AND CSS stays in 99%. For PageSpeed Insights the warning is gone (which is a good thing). But this time my website works half of the time correctly. I mean, the first time you go to my website homepage, everything runs as expected, but as soon as you refresh the page, the header gets broken, and near the footer there is a huge blank space. And if you refresh again, everything works as expected, and this repeats in a loop.

    If I go to some of those “above the fold css critical generator” and get the CSS and paste in that box in Autoptimize, the website works as expected (everytime), but then in PageSpeed Insights it brings back the above-the-fold warning and a new warning to Optimize CSS Delivery.

    So, how should be my “critical css”? And why Autoptimize does not minify as good as W3 Total Cache (if I use minify from this plugin, all my Minify grades in GTMetrix gets 100%).

    By the way, my english is a bit rusty….

    morning @diegoweblive;
    Autoptimize does not (yet) minify inline JS/ CSS, which is why if you’re not “also aggregting inline JS” or the CSS counterpart, you might get warnings about HTML minification. The good news however is that despite these warnings there is no tangible impact on the performance (as measured in the amount of seconds and milliseconds it takes your site to load).

    Regarding your critical CSS; maybe try generating is elsewhere? the FAQ lists some other possibilities to do so.

    Hope this helps,
    frank
