Autoposting for Pages Not Showing

  • First off, I have a couple of Pro versions, which I know you said should not be discussed here.

    However, I also have a couple of Free versions, which can be discussed here.

    The problem I have at the moment with this new version 4, is that posts, pages, custom post types all get reposted (after a bit of fiddling about with the settings).

    However, the old way of adding ‘Repost pages, not just posts’ is not showing up on my pages in this new version, whereby you need to add the term ‘page’ into the autoposting filter.

    Hey, as far as I can tell, the pages are actually posting with no problem.

    However the SNAP details are not appearing on Pages and the option to add it from the ‘Screen Options’ WordPress section is not there, meaning I can no longer add adjustments to my ‘Page Autoposts’, and I’m left with TITLE – URL, plus I’m going to get daft stuff like the Privacy Policy being reposted.

    If I’m doing something wrong, please explain what it is – but I’ve been through all the documentation and all I can find is that the page should now be added into the autoposting feature.

  • The same as @steveraven I have pro version on my sites but I have limited my testing of version 4 to a couple of sites where I use the free version.

    I have not upgraded my pro version and will definitely wait until the free version is much more stable and bug-free.

    My major issues to date are:

    Cannot save reposting filter ‘Older than – Newer than’. (Very important on my sites)

    Posts to Twitter in V4 do not click through via the image. This worked well up to V3.88. (With V4 my click-through rate on Twitter has fallen by 70%!)

    Setting are not imported when updating to V4. (So much time wasted here re-entering all the settings.)

    ‘Loop it’ for reposting is not now available in the free version. It was in V3.88. (I don’t like upgrades that take away features.)

    Image size selection doesn’t seem to work.

    Until these critical issues for me are rectified or improved, I can’t use V4 in either free or pro versions. But I hope over the coming weeks that these issues can be rectified and can get back to business as usual.

    This has nothing to do with the plugin. You are mixing two things: image posts and twitter cards.

    1. “Image post” by definition means that click on image will lead to a bigger image, not to some external site.
    2. “Twitter Card” may look similar to image post, but has a short description and image is linked to external site. Twitter cards are not created or managed by the plugin.

    Please note: You actually need to “UNCHECK” the “Attach Image” checkbox to get a Twitter card.

    PS: If you were getting Twitter card with “Attach Image” checkbox checked in 3.8, it actually means that this checkbox was broken and V4 fixed it.

    You’re right too.

    For pro or commercial product support please contact the author directly on their site.

    As the author is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. As you are their customer I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.
