autoplay not working since 1.9.1, no permanet play icon in top of post thumbnail

    I have test all the new versions since 1.9.1 and the autoplay optinion dose not work for me. I sow that you integrate an play icon on mouse hover, but I think (at least for me) It is needed a permanent play icon to be displayed at all times on top of the post thumbnail, so people will notice from the start that is a video, and not just if they hover the image. For now I just put manualy the play icon on the post thumbnail, and I use the old 1.9.1 version with this optios: Only show video when viewing single post/page, otherwise show post thumbnail. / Replace featured image automatically if possible (default) / Autoplay Yes.

    I would like a similar result without me having to manualy put a play icon on the thumb, and can you make the autoplay to work on the newer versions.

    Which video provider are you using? Autoplay does not work for all of the available services sadly..

    I update to last version, use the setings you provided, clear cache, but autopaly dosen’t work.

    On 1.9.1 version autoplay work with this optios: Only show video when viewing single post/page, otherwise show post thumbnail. / Replace featured image automatically if possible (default) / Autoplay Yes.

    I use WP faster cache wich work fine with 1.9.1 and don’t think is the problem for latest version.

    Now I have the last version of your plugin on my site with the settings you provide if you would like to take a look.

    Another interesting thing is if I update an old post deteting the future video link and add it again, the autoplay is working, but the post thumbnail is not the corectly grabed (it a 4:3, 480 × 360 thumb with the name hqdefault.jpg.jpeg and not the original youtube size, which in my case is a 16:9, 1280X720 and name )

    For now I will go back to the older version

    In the new release the plugin now tries to fetch a higher quality image manually. Give it another try. The jump to version 2.x.x introduced quite some changes and if the update process doesn’t run smoothly you might be required to re-add old videos manually (the plugin tries to do so by itself when updating) in order to establish full functionality.
