    Hey chimps, thanks to all in advance
    Does Anybody know whether you need to be subscribed to a list so that the Features in automation will work such as abandoned cart, order confirmation.

    to be more precise will mailchimp for woocommerce affect all users regardless if they are connected to my email list or just for those who are connected?

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    The MailChimp For WooCommerce plugin will sync to MailChimp anyone who completes a purchase on your WooCommerce store. From there, Order Notification Automations in MailChimp will send out to any purchases made and synced by the plugin.

    On the other hand, Abandoned Cart Automations can send to customers before they join the list. When someone places a product in their cart and leaves at least their email address on the checkout page, that email address will be queued up to send for an Abandoned Cart Automation in MailChimp. This automation will send out regardless of whether or not that customer email address is subscribed to the list or not yet subscribed to the list.

    one more question. can this plugin collect info from past add to cart even?

    The MailChimp For WooCommerce plugin will sync historical purchases to pass to MailChimp. However for Abandoned Cart data, only carts abandoned after the plugin and automation have been setup will be recorded and synced to MailChimp.
