• Hi, I am trying to use the automation option. setup has been done as per instructions. the subscribers go through the double opt-in but do not receive the final email with their actual interest. status shows as running, no errors flagged. and all tasks are marked as complete under “sending” I waited more than 24 hours with my own email and have not received the automation email.

    Hello @sgwporg,

we are sorry that you experience these problems. I looked into some logs and I saw that our service has sent out 3 different automation emails in the last two days.

I noticed your domain is not yet authorized and therefore we currently do rewrite your sender address, as you are using a free email provider to send your emails from. We advise you use a branded domain to send your emails from.

More information can be found here

Authorizing your own domain has become important since Google and Yahoo have updated their sender requirements. More information can be found here: https://www.mailpoet.com/blog/navigating-googles-and-yahoos-new-sender-requirements-what-email-marketers-need-to-know/

I hope these links help you and you can solve the problems.

thank you for this. I have created a new email address to use on mailpoet. for authentication I can only update MX record on my Cpanel account. mailpoet on the other side is giving me other records CNAME & TXT. Any idea on which MX details I can should be using to validate deliverability? thank you

    Hi there @sgwporg,

On your cpanel account where you see the DNS values for your domain, there should be a way to add new DNS fields. You would need to add a total of 4 new parameters – two CNAME and two TXT as you have mentioned above. These are brand new fields, not existing fields to be updated.

If you’re not sure how to add these to your domain, I’d recommend reaching out to your web hosting company who should be able to help you out with adding the fields and getting the formatting correct for their system.
