Automatically wordpress version updated and WP_Content deleted

  • We were earlier using version 4.0 , automatically it got updated to version 4.0.1 and files in wp content are missing , so what to do now ?

    We were actually having under development project on this wordpress website . How to get the data or files back ?

    Updates to WP do not touch your wp-content folder or its contents. Not sure what else might have happened, but hopefully you have a backup.

    If you have a backup, just FTP the wp-content files back into their correct directories, without worrying about the other parts of the backup.
