I’m starting to use Arigato to send scheduled emails to my users. However, I do not understand the “Automatically subscribe to the mailing list all new users who register in my blog.” option. I’m using WooCommerce to sell a product, and was expecting that when a new user makes a purchase (and therefore sets up a new user account on the site), Arigato would create a new user when “Automatically subscribe to the mailing list all new users who register in my blog.” is selected.

Is this not how it works? How can I have new users on my website automatically added to the Arigato mailing list when they make a purchase and therefore create a new account on my website?

See the text in the braces: “To avoid spam this will happen when users login for the first time”

Thank you for your response. I have tested this and it doesn’t happen when the user logs in for the first time either.

Thanks for your feedback! Just fixed it in 2.7.2.2

Thank you for the speedy fix Bob.

As a workaround I wrote a PHP script that would allow me to subscribe new users automatically, which is useful because I actually only want new users who have also purchased a subscription (user roles Subscriber & Customer). As a development request, could you add the option to choose which user roles are automatically added to Arigato using the “Automatically subscribe to the mailing list all new users who register in my blog.” option?

Thanks. This is currently a Pro feature but we’ll consider it.
