Automatically regenerating thumbnails

  • Hi,

    How to disable this plugin from automatically regenerating thumbnails, from happening when turning on/off multiple plugins at once when troubleshooting plugin interference.

    Recently i’ve noticed extra thumbnails being created beacuse of an automatic thumbnails regeneration by this plugin.

    How to avoid this from happening?

  • The Regenerate Thumbnails plugin shouldn’t be automatically creating new thumbnails for you. The process should only be running if you navigate to Tools > Regenerate Thumbnails and use one of the two buttons to generate thumbnails for your images.

    Are you sure there isn’t another plugin or custom code on your site that could be causing this?

    Do you find that this happens regardless of what plugins you deactivate/active or does it only happen for specific plugins?

    Hi,

    It only happens if I turn on/off multiple plugins the plugin Regenerate Thumbnails starts going though all media and generates new formats of the images. Wilhelm-Freddie-maleri-GALLERI-FUSION-600×784, sould be Wilhelm-Freddie-maleri-GALLERI-FUSION-600×600: https://gallerifusion.dk/wilhelm-freddie-maleri/

    All new/extra media was created on the 5th november.

    How can i avoid this from happening?

    If you disabled the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin, while you turn on/off the other plugins on your site, does it still generate new images?
