I have a problem, where some of my website users have bookmarked the front page of my website (www.examplesite.com) instead of the members page (www.examplesite.com/members), and since I only have 3 menu options for my front page view (Login, Membership Options, and the Home page itself which is the Sales Page), they think they have to relogin every single time. What this does is causes the system to block these people after they sign in like 30 times in a week.

To fix this problem, I would like to set the front page (www.examplesite.com) to automatically redirect visitors to the members home page (www.examplesite.com/members) IF the visitor is logged in. If they’re not logged in, or if it’s me as the Admin, I do not want this functionality to occur, for obvious reasons.

Is there a way to do this?

  • No doubt there is a way to do this.

However, I myself am not a fan of redirections and try to avoid them if at all possible. My approach would be simply not to show the Login menu option to logged-in users. You should be able to accomplish this easily using the Nav Menu Roles plugin.
