• Hi,

How can I get my posts (which will be one of the following categories: lifestyle, nutrition or fitness) to automatically link to my top menu options of: lifestyle, nutrition or fitness?

This already happens with the sidebar menu widget: Categories

  • Hi there,
please navigate to Appearance->Menus enable Categories from Screen Options like here . Open the Categories menu tab and add your selected categories as menu items.

Let me know if this helps!

    Hi, thanks,

I checked the screen options and categories are already enabled, so I’m sure you understand what I mean. I will try to explain a bit better; so in my my top menu I will have three seperate menus; lifestyle, fitness and nutrition.

When for example i post a blog post labeled in the category of fitness, how can i get that post to automatically become content within the fitness menu.

    Thanks!

Nevermind, I have managed to get this working thank you.

Can you please help my out with my categories menu in the side bar; how can i display the children (either within or in a drop down ) within the parent category.

At the moment I have a blog post that has 2 categories; recipes(parent) and breakfast(child). Its displaying correctly(drop down) in the main menu, however in the side bar categories menu its displaying as 2 seperate categories.

    Hi there,
please navigate to Appearance->Customize->Widgets->Blog and locate the Category widget. Open it and check the “Show hierarchy” checkbox. Uncheck
the “Display as dropdown” option also.
