Automatically displays as closed?

First of all, fantastic plugin! It met all of my client’s demands and the ability to add my own CSS to change things like the “expand” button background are FANTASTIC pros!

However, on my site, it displays as closed with the expand button available on load. I’ve toggled a bunch of settings, but I can’t seem to get it to display the bar initially on load without a user expanding it themselves. I’m not sure if this was the developer’s intention or if I have an odd JS conflict going on. Could you enlighten me?
