Automatically Change Order Status to Completed

    Our products are online courses, so we want to give the customer immediate access to their course. Right now, they only get access once we manually change their order status to Completed. Is there any way to bypass Processing status and go right to Completed for orders that are successfully paid by credit card, or PayPal?

  • They should change to completed automatically after some time required to get back info from Paypal API. If they don’t – is your site private/requires some password to be visible? Maybe that’s why it can’t be reached back?

    The site is public. All orders placed go into processing status until they are manually changed the completed. I’d like to eliminate this manual step.

    @rdrew26 What about changing the product types to virtual products? If they are virtual – they always go to completed if the order only consists of virtual products it will get completed automatically.

    I will give that a try.

    @elitistdogg thanks for clarifying – that’s due to difference between virtual and real goods. Real ones needs to be “processed”. Advanced choice of way status changes will follow in Jigoshop 2.x
