Automatically Approve Admin's Comments?

  • When my admin posts a comment, or replies to a reader’s comment, it is always put into the comments queue and awaits approval before it is posted. I have tried all the different comment approval settings. It does automatically approve the comments of some of my readers, but the admin comments always need new approval. Is there any way to have the admins comments automatically approved?

  • What you have done? Have you gone to Options > Discussion Options page and remove the tick for “Comment author must have a previously approved comment”?

    Yes I tried posting a comment with that option both turned on and turned off. It results in the same thing. The admins comment is not automatically approved.

    Hi @Watchfire Music, I know your post is pretty old, but I’m replying anyway just in case you’re still looking for a solution.

    Inspired by a user that had a similar issue I made this plugin that has just been accepted

    It should help you to automatically approve the comments by the users you trust the most, filtering users by User ID and other parameters (you could whitelist your admin for example).
